1. Velora Is Not Medical Advice
Velora, operated by Havra LLC, is a fitness, nutrition, and wellness app. Velora does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Velora’s calorie targets, macro and micronutrient estimates, BMI figures, meal-scan results, workout suggestions, recovery and wellness-score indicators, run/pace estimates, cycle estimates, AI coaching, and body-progress insights are informational estimates only — not medical, nutritional, psychological, or professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Consult a Professional
You should consult a qualified medical professional before starting a diet, exercise program, weight-loss plan, or supplement routine — especially if you have a medical condition, injury, eating-disorder history, are pregnant, or have another health concern. Do not disregard, delay, or stop professional medical treatment because of something you see in Velora.
3. Velora Is Not a Medical Device
Velora is not a medical device, is not FDA-cleared or FDA-approved, and is not a HIPAA-covered entity. Wellness scores, recovery indicators, and similar outputs are wellness estimates derived from data such as Apple Health readings — they are not diagnostic and should never be used to rule in or rule out a medical condition.
4. Nutrition and Meal-Scan Estimates
Meal-scan results, calorie counts, and macro/micronutrient estimates are AI-generated estimates and can be wrong — because of hidden ingredients, oil or sauces, portion-size uncertainty, poor lighting, overlapping foods, or model limitations. Always use your own judgment, especially if you have a food allergy, intolerance, or a medical reason to avoid a specific ingredient — never rely on Velora as your sole source of truth about what is in your food.
5. Workout and Exercise Safety
Physical exercise carries inherent risks, including injury. You are responsible for exercising safely: use proper equipment, technique, supervision, and judgment, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, or other concerning symptoms. Workouts generated by our AI, or published by other members in Velora Community, are not personalized medical or professional advice and may not be appropriate for your condition. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with diet, exercise, and weight-management activities undertaken using Velora, and Velora is not responsible for injuries or outcomes resulting from workouts, exercises, recommendations, or user-generated routines.
6. Menstrual Cycle Estimates — Not for Contraception
Cycle predictions are estimates and must not be used for contraception or to plan or avoid pregnancy. Velora is not a medical or fertility device. Cycle-related wellness coaching is general information, not personalized medical advice.
7. Run Tracking Estimates
Distance, pace, splits, elevation, and calorie estimates from GPS run tracking depend on GPS signal quality, device sensors, and environmental conditions, and can be inaccurate. Do not rely on run-tracking data for any safety-critical or medical purpose (for example, managing a cardiac condition during exercise) without your physician’s guidance.
8. Emergency Disclaimer
Velora is not for emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services (911 in the United States) immediately. Do not use Velora, including AI coaching, as a substitute for emergency care.
9. AI-Generated Content
Velora uses AI to generate meal estimates, workout suggestions, and coaching-style responses. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to rely on any AI output. See our AI Processing Disclosure for how AI is used.
10. No Outcome Guarantee
Velora does not guarantee weight loss, muscle gain, improved health, accurate calorie counts, accurate meal recognition, correct workout programming, safe exercise performance, accurate run tracking, cycle-prediction accuracy, or any other fitness or nutrition outcome.
This Medical Disclaimer is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference and should be read together with it.
