Community Guidelines
Effective Date: August 1, 2026 (Draft)
Last Updated: July 26, 2026 — drafts pending legal review
These are the rules for Velora Community — the part of Velora where members publish workouts and run summaries, comment, and interact with each other. By publishing a workout or run, posting, or commenting, you agree to follow these Guidelines. They are incorporated into and part of our Terms of Service.
Contents
1. The Basics
- You must be 18 or older and use your own account.
- What you publish — workouts, run summaries, posts, comments, your handle, and your bio — is public and shown under your handle to other members.
- Only share content you have the right to share.
- Don’t post other people’s private information.
- Be a real person: don’t impersonate Velora staff, other members, or brands.
2. Publishing Is Public
Before your first publish and your first post, Velora shows you a one-time notice, and every publish screen carries a compact reminder, along these lines:
We mean this literally: unpublishing does not reach into other members’ saved libraries. Think about that before you publish anything you might later regret sharing.
Run summaries are stats only. If you publish a completed run, only a stats card — distance, pace, duration, and computed splits — is shared. Your GPS coordinates, route, and precise timestamps are never published or made visible to any other member; the systems behind Community publishing are structurally unable to carry that data. See the Privacy Policy’s “Run & Route Information” section.
3. What’s Not Allowed
- Harassment or bullying — targeting a person to demean them, or piling on after they’ve asked you to stop.
- Hate speech or slurs targeting who someone is — race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness.
- Threats or wishing real harm on anyone, or encouraging violence.
- Sexual content, nudity, or unwanted sexual advances. Progress and physique photos are welcome; content composed to be sexual is not.
- Non-consensual photography — photos that make an identifiable bystander the subject without their consent (no creepshots or mocking candids).
- Body- or weight-shaming, and content that promotes eating disorders, starvation, or self-harm.
- Dangerous fitness advice likely to get someone hurt — crash-cut or purge protocols, steroid/PED dosing, or coaching a minor into any of it.
- Doxxing — posting someone’s private address, contact details, workplace, or real identity without consent.
- Spam, scams, phishing, fake giveaways, and MLM or “DM me” funnels.
- Selling or sourcing illegal or controlled substances, including performance-enhancing drugs.
- Impersonation or false affiliation with Velora or anyone else.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may remove content and act on accounts that violate these rules, as described in Section 8.
4. License You Grant Us and Other Members
When you publish a workout, run summary, comment, or other content to Velora Community, you grant Havra LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within Velora so other members can view, comment on, save, and (for workouts) train it, for as long as it remains published (or, for content saved by another member before you unpublish it, for as long as that member keeps their saved copy). This is in addition to, not a replacement for, the content license in our Terms of Service. You keep ownership of what you publish.
5. Fitness Content Is Member-Made, Not Professional Advice
Workouts and content published in Velora Community are created by other Velora members, not medical or fitness professionals, and are not personalized advice. Use your own judgment: warm up, use good form, pick weights and intensity that suit you, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Talk to a physician before starting a new program, especially if you have an injury, a health condition, or are pregnant. Community workouts are not reviewed by Velora and are not a substitute for professional guidance — training one is at your own risk. See our full Medical Disclaimer.
6. Posting Under a Handle
If Velora offers a posting-anonymously option, it hides your handle from other members, but not from Velora — every rule in these Guidelines still applies, and your account remains accountable for anything posted under it.
7. Reporting, Moderation & Appeals
Every workout, post, comment, and profile has Report and Block in its menu — the fastest way to flag something for review. Reports go to our moderation process, and the person you report is never told who reported them. Content that violates these Guidelines may be removed, and accounts may be warned, muted, or removed, as described in Section 8. If an automated moderation decision affects your content, you can appeal it to a human reviewer by contacting us (Section 9).
8. Account Consequences
We may warn, mute, suspend, or terminate accounts, and remove content, for violating these Guidelines, our Terms of Service, or applicable law — including for repeated or severe violations of Section 3. See our Terms of Service (Account Termination) for the general account-termination framework that also governs Community accounts.
9. Contact
Something wrong in the Community, or need a hand? A real person at Velora reads every message.
- Report specific content using Report or Block on the item itself — the fastest way to flag one thing for review.
- Contact Velora Support in-app, or email [email protected].
10. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. If we make a material change, we will ask you to re-accept them before your next publish or post. Continued use of Velora Community after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Guidelines.
